Are there any dance colleges in Kent that do street?

I’ve been learning dance like jazz and street for years now and recently taught myself body popping and tutting etc. And I was wondering if there were any dance colleges in Kent that have street classes. I’ve been doing some research into dance colleges but most seem to do ballet and contemporary which isnt my strongest style and not what I want to do :/ any help would be hugely appreciated 🙂 thnx!

  • If the UK is anything like the USA, you wont find any. Perhaps a club or as an elective. Street dance is changing popular dance and is never included in college dance programs. It is something everyone can do without any real special technique training. College dance programs are not meant for street dance which is social dancing. Colleges are mostly ballet and modern/contemporary focus, because with those skills you can do any kind of dance thrown at you including street dance. That is why dancers on tour and in music videos are trained in ballet and modern dance. The rest is just choreography that a trained dancer can do with no problems.

  • i like all yet as quickly as I could pick….Dancing interior the Moonlight wins. although, in my humble opinion, of all the “Dancing …” songs, Springsteen’s Dancing interior the ineffective of nighttime can’t be beat.
