  • First and foremost thing, get the ppm of water tested, and what are the contents of water. RO type of water purifier is highly efficient. Silver purifier is to kill bacteria.
You have been drinking water with high iron content for long time. This kind of water has “sweet” taste.
Now suddenly you are drinking almost distilled water, and your taste buds are accustomed to high iron content water, that’s why you find the water bitter, otherwise there is no problem.
  • Since the aquaguard salesman has showed you that the water is very unclear,it is most likely that your iron purifier is not working properly (perhaps due to dissolved iron compounds).Did your salesman tell you that all the iron will be removed after passing through the unit ??.Get his confirmation /openion first.
Since your taste buds were accustomed with the taste of particular water (before treatment),it is likely you are feeling the difference. The best way would be to get the water (from the incoming and outgoing point of the aquaquard) analysed from any govt lab and check out the difference. Then think for next step.
Some salesmen will commit VERBALLY to what ever you ask, but will vanish after the deal is over. This was my past experience and did not find any effect reporting to the co’s staff.

  • Every day, when you take water out of the system for the first time, do you take around 5 ml out and throw it? This initial flow will always be bitter. Then the water clears and becomes tasteless.

  • Assuming your filter is not installed backwards, you may want to try an activated carbon filter, which should fit in the same filter shell you now have.

  • Either the water is contaminated with compounds like sulphides or your taste buds is not good.

RO can only filter out chemcials, particles and sometimes biomatters. Check the water quality and find out the odd man out.

  • I GOT ONE TOO. GET A NEW ONE. DON’T BOTHER! GOOD LUCK!
