can a cashiers check made out to me be made payable to another person? if signed on back "make payable to"?

  • You wouldn’t even have to write that – all you would have to do is sign your signature on the back of the check (that’s called an open endorsement) – that signature of yours essentially transfers the ownership of the check to whomever is in possession of it.

    Sounds kind of weird, however – don’t YOU need to use the money for something or other? Or are you just an extremely charitable person? Or do you think the check is fraudulent?
