Can I and should I play Kick/Punt Returner?

So, I’m 5’8, WR, 15 years old. I can run 1m in 11.80 seconds. I win bulldog everytime. I’m unbelievable at that. Last season I was a backup returner. Only had to return 3, 2 of which I ran out for touchdown. The last I was ankle tackled with a yard to go and snapped my collar bone. Help?

  • Yes, based on your height and weight, as well as your 1-meter dash time, I believe that you will make a very good fit as a kick/punt returner. For your age, you have the ideal size for a high school kick/punt returner.

My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this (and every) summer is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your chances of becoming a successful, top notch kick/punt returner in football.

  • Well you have the experience.. So you should give it a shot if the coach lets you…. If you are happy playing the position, then yes, you should play…. You should make your own decision and not listen to complete strangers who have no clue about you in making your decisions in life… Good luck…..
