  • This is a true story told by my uncle. Some 80 years ago he entered the kitchen of his village house at night. They had no electricty or runing water then. It was total darkness and he was so thirsty he simply dipped his head into the barrel of drinking water only to feel something swim past his face as he drunk. He jumped back and lit a match. There he saw a rat swiming on the surface.

Rats swim to survive, as some1 mentioned earlier, they live in sewers…they will need the ability to swim to get from one side to the other, they off course adapt to their environment and swim…..but , early rats can’t swim.
