OKAY, i have windows XP , and i want to reboot my computer. Because my compt has problems.. probably cause of a virus, i already tried scanning, so yeah. My norton 360 wont load and stuff, Mozilla fire fox + IE wont connect, yet everythign else can, maplestory + crossfire errors./… and more.
when my computers booting, i click F10 or f8, everythings fine , until something pops up:
“C:Minintsystem32res256btn.bmp”

You have the MessengerSkinner Trojan, on startup before the windows logo starts keep rpessing f8 repeatedly (sometimes it’s f12 or f2)
See if you can startup in safe mode from the menu that will popon up
see if you can logon to the internet from there and/or run norton.
theres a removal tool for this trojan here.
Just go Start->Run
and type cmd
command prompt will show
and type this
shutdown -r
then push enter
Just go Start->Shutdown->Restart
That’s how you reboot.
download combofix on a thumb drive from a different machine then run it from your infected machine. Re-post.
