okay- basically he’s wicked shy and very quiet, and doesn’t really talk to me in school, but I do catch him looking at me a lot. We talk a lot online, but he won’t talk to me in person, except if we’re in a small group of mutual mates- then he does talk to me and we have conversations, but after a bit he gets awkward. He’s really shy and hard to read, but I really like him, and I can’t tell if he likes me.
I would think that he does, but last year I told him I liked him, and he just sort of looked at me, said “Okay,” and walked away. I still like him and I think I’m probably reading him wrong, because if he didn’t like me last year, why would he like me this year?
I’m really loud and outgoing and have a ton of mates, and I’m sort of pretty, and he’s obviously very quiet and withdrawn, and not too attractive. I really like him, I can’t tell if he likes me. Thoughts?

She likes you. If you like what you know and see, I say go for it. Always go for what you want.
Just flat out ask him if he wants to do something together. Tell him that you still think he’s cool and would like to get to know him better on your own time and not just in the group situation. The next time you are in a group, you could just say to him on the side that you should get together sometime for a drink, etc. and give him your number. Or say something next time you are chatting online. Good Luck!
