Copying, burning, shrinking DVD’s? Blu Ray?

Hey guys so I have a few questions. I’m just curious as to what exactly all these terms mean? Shrinking, burning, copying? Also, if I have DVD movies like “Shrek” and I want to get it onto my computer then get it onto a blank DVD how would I? I only have a laptop with one dvd holder. Also, if it would be possible do they have farely cheap (not thousands) machines/hardware, or even reliable software that could help. Maybe even do it all in one product. Also I would want to be able to do this for blu ray DVD’s too..what kind of blank dvd’s should I buy? Also im sure computer cant hold much more especially if its a bunch of movie files what could i do about that..? Thanks !

  • Use DVDShrink, or perhaps Handbrake to reauthor the disks. Shrinking means making the image smaller in size – at the cost of quality. Burning is just writing to a disk.
