I’m about to set up a direct deposit account for a new job but I want to know do I write Washington Mutual or Chase under the field for ‘bank name?’
It’s so confusing because I started off years ago with Wamu, my credit card and debit card is Wamu, but my credit card online account is Chase, and I know Wamu is still (slowly) becoming Chase.
I don’t want any confusion on my direct deposit. Which is the right one?
(In this case, I’d like some proof if you have any too, such as a corporate website, etc that has this answer)

Ok, I dont have proof but….
Its the routing number and account number that tell the company where to send the paycheck, not the bank name.
So if you get that right, the odds are with you on getting a paycheck.
The HR department may tell you the same thing, as well as the bank manager.
