  • Yes. There is evidence that those with high IQ stay up later and sleep later.

Researchers from tyhe London School of Economics have found that people with high I.Q.s are more likely to be night owls, whereas folks with lower I.Q.s are more likely to wake up early and function their best during the day Other studies found a link between “eveningness” and getting good grades in school.

However, people who stay up late tend to be less reliable and more likely to suffer from depression and various addictions than early risers.

  • I would expect, generally speaking, that smarter people would be more responsible, recognizing the consequences of their actions, and they’d be generally more likely to be on time. I know some very smart people that don’t get being on time at all. If you find a study, it’s going to cover smart people in general…

  • There’s no pattern, basically they come in all flavors, very on-time, to very late, and everything in between.

Same goes with sleep, some are ‘night-owls’, some are ‘early-birds’.
