  • Yeah: a lot of people who listen to “emo” music obviously dress differently then people who usually listen to hip hop music. But then again we can’t generalize but I guess it’s safe to say “most” people who listen to a particular genre of music tend to dress similar to the people who sing that kind of music.

  • I think it does to an extent. When music influences style or vice versa, it’s a lifestyle more than anything else. For example, I used to listen to a lot of super hard core, borderline metal stuff, and I wore a lot of black and had crazy hair styles and stuff. Now, while I still enjoy a good breakdown and some double bass, I am a sucker for some Iron and Wine, Fleet Foxes, Jon Foreman and other such indie rockers. I’ve noticed that I have gone from a lot of black/band t’s to more earthy/hippy/hipster style clothing such as loose v neck t’s, flow-y skirts and cute little knit caps.

  • Music plays a big role in someones’ style! For example; if you listen to indie/rock you’re more likeley to dress like marykate olsen. Infact, that’s what she listens too! The killers are one of her favourite bands.
    Where as if you listen to rap, youll dress more urban like kimora lee simmons. Decked out in baby phat basically! haha
    At the end of the day, this all really varies and it depends on the person. But that being said, for the most part, people dress according to what they listen to!

  • To some people it does, and to others it doesn’t. But for me, Music influences my fashion style, I like edgy clothes, But I like wearing it in a cute casual way, not the crazy way. Maybe because I like listening to Kelly Clarkson & Katherine Mcphee, and I also like to listening Simple Plan & Sum 41 !
