Does it bother you if you weren’t the first?

An ad for Aston Martin used cars declares, “You know you’re not the first, but do you really care?” by a picture of a scantily clad woman.

It takes a while for me to get over the past relationships of women that I am pursuing. Their history means a lot to me, and I am sure that mine is equally significant.

Ladies and gentlemen, how do you feel about being number two, or three, or four…?

Would you take sex out of the equation? Would you be mildly concerned? Would you not care at all?

  • Actually sexual history matters to me a lot, because it correlates with one’s values and morals. As a college student, the notion that so many people I know are having casual sex while I wait for the right person troubles me greatly.

  • I don’t have a problem dating women that have been divorced. They have tried the rest, now it’s time for the best !!

    Sex is pretty much the point of all this he-she stuff. If you take it out then, she had better be family, a business partner, supervisor, co-worker, waitress (you get the idea). You can find women that will put you in the “friend zone” just about anywhere and at anytime too. They’re OK to know, as people, but “friendship doesn’t fill the need” (if you know what I mean)

  • I know with certainty that everyone would be bothered to some extent with the fact that they have to compete with someone else. It personally shouldn’t matter and doesn’t matter to me because you know that you can be the present and that’s what should matter.

  • it does bother you, like something in the back of your head that you just cant shake because welll… you just cant help it, its naturally. when you meet a guy, you want it to be special, but knowing he has a history just makes me feel like im just another in his life, you know. i think its best to just wait for something special in your life, its like they say, quality is better than quantity 🙂

  • Actually I was a second wife and ,as a widow , was asked to be a widower’s third wife and I didn’t care at all.
