Glen Johnson is a good fighter especially for his age but Lucien seems to be afraid of serious top contenders.

Kelly Pavlik was supposed to fight Lucia Bute sometime this Fall there was
also, another offer made to Mikkel Kessler both of those boxers turned down
those potential super fights. His promoter in Canada Interbox is trying to find
him some quality opponents and good competition. Glen Johnson is a name
he will give Lucian Bute a challenge however, after this year Lucian Bute will
fight the winner of Showtime’s Super Middleweight Tournament either, Andre
“Son of GOD” Ward – Carl “The Cobra” Froach they fight December 17, 2011.
It’s not that he’s afraid of serious contenders the boxers don’t want to go fight
Lucian Bute up in Canada where the IBF Super Middleweight Champion fights.
Soon, Bute will have no choice but to go for the WBA or WBC title. This Johnson fight is just to help build his name for a bigger fight. I’d like to see him fight the winner of Froch/Ward or even Kessler. Bute is talented but the competition he’s faced thus far is not that impressive.
Lucian Bute is superior to any other super middleweight in the world.
