Engineering ideas for preventing a fire at a tyre recycling plant ?

Any idea would be appreciated. Any methods of cooling the stored tires or something like that?

  • Burn the tires in a gasifier producing charcoal and syngas. The charcoal could be used as biochar, sequestering the carbon indefinitely, the syngas could either be burned in turbines to produce electricity to sell to the grid or used to synthesize linear hydrocarbons such as gasoline, diesel or plastic.

    Plasma gasification leaves little to no charcoal behind and maximizes the syngas output.
