I don’t know why you would post this in the mathematics section.
and are a little subjective. They simply need to follow a sentence that has the boy as the subject. I would likely put it early as the other poster:

The one major difference is switching the location of and relative to the other poster. While one might argue for both ordering, the first makes more sense due to the usage of the pronoun “it” in the beginning of sentence (thus you should have sentence following sentence , which had the ox as the subject).
