I know the GTX 550ti is a fairly old card, but i’ve never had a single problem with it, it still handles anything I throw at it and then some. I recently got a new case that has an amazing airflow system, and that kept the card cool for the first couple of days at around 28 centigrade (my last case had horrible airflow and it got to roughly 52 at idle…) but now, my new case is saying the idle is like 44 centigrade, when just yesterday it was registering at 28-30.. I don’t think it’s actually at 44, because you can touch the heatsink of the GPU and it’s stone cold. So I was wondering if it could be a thermometer issue? I kinda hope it is. I don’t have enough cash to get a new graphics card >_<
Oh, and btw I’ve re-aplied the thermal paste, absolutely nothing changed.

get a better fan or open the case you need more airflow
