  • If possible switch her off the colourful food onto pellets. Colourful food is terrible for guinea pigs and encourages them to only eat the bits they like. Do it gradually, adding a few pellets to her other food at a time until you’ve completely removed the coloured one. She also needs to be eating vegetables every day. Don’t bother with pet shop treats.

Smallish to mediumish is probably not big enough. Guinea pigs need an absolute minimum of 7.5sq ft, ideally 10.5sq ft or more. Look into C&C cages, they’re cheaper than pet shop cages and really easy to put together. http://www.guineapigcages.com/

For her bedding? Newspaper wouldn’t really work unless you’re willing to change it every day. It’s not very absorbent. There’s various options if the one you have now doesn’t work for you. If you don’t want something that can be kicked about look into fleece http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?…

She doesn’t really need a bed. As long as she has places to hide (plastic igloos, tunnels, cardboard boxes) and somewhere warm and dry to sit she’ll be ok.

You really need to play with her more, especially if she’s alone. Guinea pigs are social animals and need to live in pairs. Give her lots of attention. If you’re willing to properly care for the one you have and another, then once you’ve upgraded the cage and sorted out her diet get another female for her to live with and she’ll be much happier.

  • She should have a friend Guinea Pig. You can buy a female Guinea Pig for her. Try to feed her carrots once in a week, most GP loves carrots. She should have enough room to run. Always clean the cage twice in a week. Don’t allow her to wet the cage. Also you can use plane paper if you have no bedding, newspapers are bad. You should care her more and handle her and play with her. She is a social animal. You should make some time to care, love and play with your Guinea Pig.

  • Our guinea pig had a litter box, you can find them in pet stores usually, and they usually use them immediately. I think it’s bad when they chew up newspaper because of the ink, i’m not sure though. Try getting a seed catcher from a bird section in a pet store and put it around your pigs cage, that should keep stuff from flying out alot. I have the same issue with stuff being throw everywhere from my bird, he turns around and his tail sends his bedding flying! Instead of store bought treats, try things like carrots and lettuce and apples- look up safe foods for guinea pigs to eat online and choose from there. Try to take her out more often, this way you’ll enjoy her more and she’ll enjoy being around you, have her sitting in your lap while you do homework maybe.

    Good luck with her

  • 1) you need to get her a freind! Guinea pigs are social animals like us humans and get very lonely and sad being kept by them selfs

    2) You also need to feed her fruit and vegetables daily

    3) You can litter train guinea pigs

    4) you need to play and handle her more you also need to get her another guinea as a freind it’s cruel keeping her by herself

    5) you need to do more research on guinea pigs you should know they need to be kept in pairs or more and you should know They can’t make their own vitamin c and need fruit and vegetables

Please do more research on guinea pigs good luck! 🙂
