How many bits would be in the memory of a computer with 4KB (more
precisely KiB) memory?

  • There’s a difference between KB and KiB. Furthermore, one would have to assume that a byte (B) in the system is eight bits (an octet) – though the norm, this isn’t universally true.

Given this, there would be 4 * 1024 * 8 bits in 4 KiB worth of memory.
