I need an example of a foreign country that was given investment incentives from a government to locate in their country, but pulled out once the incentives ran out. Thanks so much!!! Please include where your information is from! 🙂

  • I am guessing that you want an example of a foreign company; not country.

    Mitsubishi Motors manufactured in Australia after taking over Chrysler and did enjoy support from the government through import barriers and some other favourable treatment. The “Button Plan” led to a reduction in support over time. Mitsubishi threatened to leave and got some more support before it eventually stopped manufacturing. This could be one example for you to look into.
