How big do you think my Quarter horse will get?

I know i asked this not to long ago but i found out yesterday my new Qh isnt 3 he just turned 2 this week so ive been wondering how big he will get since everyone said he would mature at 16.2 when i asked last time.. Levi stands at 15.3 hh and about 1,1 lbs my farrier says he look full blooded qh but isnt real sure. I dont know anything about his parents i rescued him from a lady who is a trader and she abuses horses so i had to rescue him. How big do you think he will get? Please no rude answers this is just bugging me not knowing how big he will get or even having a idea on how big he will get since i know you can tell exactly how big he will get just want some idea… Thanks

  • That depends…..he could stop at 16hh and not grow anymore. Or he could stop for a period of time then at 5-7 take a growth spurt and grow a bit more. My 6yr old took a growth spurt his 5yr old year and grew a good bunch. So it really could go either way….just depends and you will have to see since you didn’t know much about his parents.

  • Quarter Horses are available in all diverse heights from 14 palms to over sixteen.3 palms. however the commencing up Quarter horse isn’t extremely that tall, common top is 15 palms and weight of approximately 1250lbs. I definitely have ridden an excellent style of 14.2 hand Quarter Horses that weighed over one thousand lbs.

  • Most likely around 16hh.

  • I doubt he’ll reach 16.2hh. He will probably max out at 16.0hh and then just fill out (beef up.)
