How can I become a better point guard?

I’m 6’1 half almost 6’2. 14yrs old freshmen, 154lb. I lack dribbling and shooting. I am really good at driving into the paint and scoring and very good on fastbreaks.

I really want a scholarship to Oregon state when I grow up. Would averaging 24ppg, 7apg, 2.1stealspergame. At my senior year. Get me a scholarship their?

Update:

Oh yeah, I lack court vision,I keep my eyes on the ball and not on whats going on the court

Update 2:

I’m really fast so thats a good attribute 😀

  • Hell yeah and go buy ebh 2.0 to improve your handles for shooting um idk lol

  • It would get a scholarship, and if you seeked them out, maybe but no guarantee they would accept you. However, although that should be one of your goals that is long term. Make also short term goal that you can complete every day. Your handlling is what you need most right now. It is fundamental and every point guard needs it or he is not effective. Next is definitely shooting. Pick an nba model youu want to shoot like, mimic their shot, and practice. P.S. once you have very good fundamentals you might want to check this out go to google type in Elite guard training the drills are hard and it is very intense but crazy effective.

  • Work on your handles by doing two ball dribbling drills and focusing on keeping your eyes up. Shooting is something you just have to labor over. Shooting is not something you can become good at without spending hours in the gym at a hoop. Make sure that you are able to finish at the rim over taller defenders (like 6’10”) that is a key attribut that college scouts like myself look at when evaluating a player.
