We folks who handle School IT tend to check the forums for new Proxy listings. We are also subscribed to the daily proxy email lists and tend to add all new proxies to the firewall every morning before school even starts.
Your’e at school to learn, not muck about on FaceBook, MySpace, etc. Trying to bypass these filters can get you into trouble for violating use policy and in some states, could even get you into legal trouble as it can be viewed as hacking in some instances.
If you’re not in school and at a job, the same rules apply. Don’t risk your education or your employment so you can message your FaceBook friends. Wait until you get home at the end of the day.

Talk to whoever has them blocked. If it’s school blocked web sites, forget it.

well there is a couple of ways, here you go:
1-you can use DNS set up to enter them (works generally)
2-you can use Xerobank browser (works always but slows the connection too much)
3-you can use direct ip to the sites you want to visit (generally does not work 😀 )
4-you can use sites like: http://anonymouse.org/ http://www.ktunnel.com/ http://www.vtunnel.com/ (works sometimes)

It depends on your network, but more than likely, if the website are blocked, then it was implemented on the firewall. Whoever administers the firewall is the only person who can unblock it.
