How do I find Directories to submit my site to?

I am showing up on top of Google for my company name and my main keyword. Google is showing my site for like 27 other phrases but on the second page of results. I keep hearing I need to submit to directories. I submitted to DMOZ with no response yet in a year. Is the Yahoo directory going to help any or just technically help with no results and 300 bucks gone.

  • Fetch query in search engine and get a list of dir website a lot. Like “free directory submission” list of directory etc…

  • yahoo directory will help for sure but will not make a whole difference. you will still need to do other form of link building along with yahoo directory submission. i say if you are not facing fierce competition, then dont bother with it. there are lots of other link building methods that can get you the result without paying as much. in fact, most of the link building methods are totally free given that you do it yourself. i suggest you exhaust all those methods first and if you need a little extra boost, use yahoo directory at that time.

  • What is the name of your site? Is there anything local about your site? if it is find your local directories for local business and submit and build back links. Write articles about your secondary (second page results for KW) and raise seo relevance and back links. Sounds like with a little good seo tweaking for your site you will do well!
