I want to try taking it out for a day to make him stop, but I know that probably will no work and I don’t want to take away his fun so he does not get upset.

im afraid there’s no way of stopping them.hamsters have no bladder control so they’ll just pee whenever it comes. my hamster does it all the time and his wheel is a connected room on the side of his cage and it has a gap in it and he pees there all the time so theres allways a little puddle on the desk where i keep him lol.
Not a chance. Hamsters are dumb.
