I see that you already have 75 answers, so this topic must have prompted many people to say the same thing that I am saying – You should not be putting up with verbal/emotional abuse from your mate! Calling someone fat all the time is abusive.

Dump this person! They are not a true friend who is interested in helping you. This person is destructive and unkind.

Some people are misguided in their thinking… They think that harrassing someone about their weight will *help* that person to lose weight, but it actually does the opposite. It does not help…It only hurts.

Please do not put up with this hurtful behavior from your mate. Find another friend that is kind to you.

Hi there. First off don’t let being a diffrent size from that of your partner get you bummed. If your mate didn’t like you in the first place for what you are, and i am sure you are beautiful, then he would most likely not be there. And!!, if that don’t work you can always try this ” Well i may be fat but you are UGLY and i can loose weight”. I am none to sure as to what reaction this will have but its worth a shot. But remember, “size matters not”, Yoda said that and he is always right my young Jedi. The problem here is your choice of mates. You need to tell them just how hurtful you find their behaviour and ask them how they would feel if you called them names. Everyone has a physical fault or sensitive subject, so if they are spotty or need specs for example, you could use that.

I’d also tell them that all they are doing is showing their ugly nature and then walk away and not look back! They are not worthy of your friendship!!!!

PS – weight can be gotten rid of, ignorance and bigotry are forever!!

Find different mates – coz people that do that aren’t really your friends. Just be content woth the fact that they are probably jealous of something about you, and calling you fat is going for the easy put down. Alternatively, don’t let it show that it hurts you, and hopefully they’ll get bored.

If she really is a mate then she wouldnt call you names, you can either try talking to her and tell her how much she hurts you or totally ignore her if she calls you it again, im sure you could find some proper friends who like you for the person you are and wont ever be so cruel.

If he really likes you he would not calling “fat” or over weight

but before you go there ask him why he calls you that and tell him how would he feel if you called him fat or was making fun of how much he weighs

you don’t have the problem, your mate does, the lord in his great wisdom made all of us different shapes and sizes, however, you could try to talk to your friend about this, let them know how much it hurts you. a funny story, i went to school with my first wife, believe me she was fat and ugly, i met her again when she was 19 and she was so drop dead gorgeous in every way, she told me that it was people making fun of her when she was at school that made her change, use this outlook on life to change your life for the better, good luck.

If this is the sort of mate you have get some other mates as they are doing nothing bu being hurt-full to you.

if she was your true mate she would not call you fat…but if she is only messing tel her it hurts your feelings..if she doesnt stop fink of something bad about her and start calling it her she will no how u feel and mayb stop…if not just tell her u dnt want 2 b frends anymore
