I have some seriously unruly hair. It’s long, thin, and wavy (but not at all in an attractive way.) I shampoo every other day. I don’t have the fanciest straightener, but it’s not poor quality either. No matter what I do, I can have straight hair for 5 minutes and then, no matter what the weather’s like, I get a big dent/wave thing in the middle of my hair and my ends roll up and get frizzy. (I split end trim regularly as well) I sometimes put a little leave in conditioner in my hair before I straighten, and it helps a little, but it still doesn’t stay straight. Am I just straightening my hair wrong? What’s up?

My hair is irritating, I go to a salon whenever I want to straighten my hair because they put this product in it that makes it so thin and truly beautiful. It lasts for about 3-4 days.
Maybe you should try doing the same? And ask them for advice on how to keep your hair straightened.
Maybe you shouldn’t leave your conditioner in. Idkn if you live near a Walmart but they have this good straighter I had that was at a decent price. If you have problems having it stay straight than get some cheap hair spray. Hopefully this somewhat helps with your problem.
you could try a different shampoo/conditioner, blow dry your hair, or get a new straightener.
