I am making a website, and i want to make a referral system for the users, so that way they can earn prizes for free. If you dont know what im talking about… like. have the users refer other people to come to my website. im not asking how to get referral links for myself. How do i do this?? and also. I want the forum area to be able to have levels, just like yahoo answers but a little different. How would i do that?

Your talking about an affiliate program for your site. There are various scripts/software available – some very cheap,other quite expensive. In all of these scripts, referral links are automatically created when a new affiliate signs up. Good programs also has the ability of providing banners for your affiliate with the banners including their affiliate link.
I’ve been using Delavo for years for our static websites – its both an affiliate management system, product management system and payment system. Starting off you probably need something much simpler than Delavo and not as expensive.
For our ecommerce WordPress blogs, I now use the WP-affiliate-platform plugin for our affiliate programs costing around US$50.00.
