in what way has it become ”tightly controlled” ? or is it still the same as in 27 ? still free and open ?
what changes has happened to the internet since 27 ?
im all for a free unrestricted internet for people, so his answer worried me.

Notice how the big hacker names nowadays are getting caught far more and in greater frequency?
Used to slip under the grid. Now governments have a much bigger grasp on the net. (Massive teams dedicated to it)
The internet is always changing, as technology is always on the verge of a new breakthrough. However, the government has always had the watch over us. It all started as ARPANet which was used for the Department of Defense. The government knows what you do, what you say, and how you do it and how you say it.
We’re only becoming more aware of the knowledge they have. Personally, I don’t care if the white house knows that I listen to a lot of music on youtube, and watch netflix.
I think people can monitor us easier now. Such as the government.
