  • You’re asking the wrong question. The question you should be asking is “May I LEGALLY claim my baby on my taxes.”

The reason I say this is because very few 17 year olds who work part time jobs can truly claim their children as dependents. The more likely scenario is your mom and/or dad claim both you and your child.

Of course, my answer is simply wild conjecture, but it’s no less accurate than the other two.

  • You do NOT usually get any $ amount JUST for having a baby during the TAX with out having to meet ALL of the necessary rules that you would have to meet to start with in order to correctly complete you own 1040 income tax return for the 2011 tax year.

I guess you really do mean on your 2011 tax year income tax return that you would be filing during the 2012 tax filing season RIGHT.

My guess would have to be same as some of the others since you are only 17 and will be 18 in December 2011 RIGHT.

And you do have to sign the completed tax return where the below statement is included for your use at this time in your life.

Under penalties of perjury, I declare that I have examined this return, and to the best of my knowledge and belief, it is true, correct, and accurately lists all amounts and sources of income I received during the tax year.

    Your signature Date Your occupation

If you are a dependent, you may not claim an exemption. If someone else – such as your parent – claims you as a dependent, you may not claim your personal exemption on your own tax return.

And also would NOT be allowed to claim any exemption for your child on your correctly completed 1040 income tax return for the 2011 tax year at this time in your life.

  • Most likely not a penny. Visit the IRS.GOV site and order or download a free PUB 17 and peruse the pertinent sections and look at the flow charts to determine who can do what and why.

  • Not enough info to tell – maybe nothing. Who do you live with? If they can claim YOU as a dependent, you can’t claim your baby. A 17 year old working part time doesn’t likely make enough to support herself and a baby.

  • It grew to become into extra advantageous than probably. This one is my 2d and that i felt him at sixteen weeks. additionally decrease than my abdomen button and if that’s down that far, the physician had advised me that’s extra probably a boy, and as quickly as we carried out the extremely sound, it grew to become into! =) So in case you lay on your lower back mutually with your head propt up at nighttime and placed your hand on your tummy, provide the toddler a minute and you are able to experience a kick.

  • nothing

you have an exemption of $37, same as yours

you might have a $5 child tax credit, which is not a refund–applies to your income tax liability which you probably have none

you might have a little EIC due to your job but it will be very little

  • You get an income exemption of about $37.

  • Probably nothing.

You are most likely a dependent yourself and dependents can’t claim dependents of their own.
