  • If you are here on a work visa, then just apply to all companies you can. Not all companies will sponsor or hire citizens from other countries, but most of the big well known companies do. Illinois has many engineering and manufacturing companies you can work for as well as Indiana.

Look for pharmaceutical companies or positions as Process Engineer or Safety Engineer in manufacturing companies.

    Good Luck

I am Iraqi too. And an engineer.

  • Your degree is accepted everywhere in the US. Your problem is getting a job. Do you have a green card? If so, you are fine. If no green card, you need to find a company that will sponsor you for the right to get one which is more difficult.
  • The engineering profession in the US is organized on the state level. You would start by getting registered with these people: http://www.illinoisengineer.com/
