  • well if you want to use the same pc you need to invest little amount and work upon the crucial areas of your machine….increase your ram atleast upto 4 GB , and add nividia graphic card atleast upto 1GB.

i tell you,you will notice a big difference in your machine…

Never the less if you do not want to continue with the same pc you change all the components like have i3 processor 4 GB ram dedicated graphic card etc…but still i suggest you continue with the same machine and just add little more advance component..and feel the difference …less investment big profit.

  • There are a few thing you can do. I will assume you are using windows.

First is to do a serious clean up of the system. Remove files you don’t need and remove apps you don’t use any more.

Run the disk cleanup on each drive. In Window Explorer right click on the drive name and click properties. There is a disk clean button there.

On the same panel is a tab with drive tools. Look for the defrag tool. Let that run through.

( there are some better ones at portableapps.com [smartdefrag , ultra defrag ] but the default one is ok for the first pass)

After the defrag is done look into your page file config.

It in Control Panel/ System / performance / advanced / Page file.

If it is a system managed one or is less 1.5 x memory you should change it.

Ther are a few step to follow. See.

I go to the trouble of removing the pagefile, rebooting, defraging the hard disk again and resetting

The fixed size pagefile at 1.5x memory. This makes sure the pagefile is in one large piece.

If you have 2 drives and enough space put pagefiles on both drives.

Each of the actions I suggested will help a bit, 5-20% throughput

After this it things that will cost you money.

If you have xp more memory with help a little.

If you have vista, upgrade to win 7 or 8 and get more memory.

Buy a cheap solid state drive ( $1 or less for 1 gigabytes) and replace your main drive.

There are kits with cloning software included you can buy at staples.

    Good luck

  • The processor is really good but it is outdated. I do not recommend to replace the entire system including processor.

Try to buy 2GB sticks of RAM of the type(DDR2/DDR3) depending on your motherboard. This will make your system little faster provided you are using Windows 7 64bit version.Install new drivers for every components.

If you do gaming at low resolution and low settings, then try to get an AMD HD 6670 or HD 7750. Both models will make your system faster.

If you plan to replace all components, then definitely you need to tell your budget and purpose.

  • Upgrade Processor Motherboard &RAM (4 GB)

  • Build or buy a newer, better PC, that’s about the only improvement for that 4 years old, low end, obsolete processor…

    NO OFFENSE.
