I have caught a wasp or a hornet and well i cant tell if it is a wasp or a hornet HELP!?

today i caught a wasp or a hornet and i cant tell if it is one or the other. it is big and white. i took the stinger out because i did not want to be stun wich took forever and now i want to keep it as a little pet. i know this sounds weird but whatever help please.
