I’m going to be completely honest with you, that show is ridiculous. They overlook thousands of talented people so they can pick people with weird personalities or sob stories to make for a good television show. I auditioned for it last year in person, and online, I didn’t get picked and I’ve been a paid musician for almost years, so it’s not like I lacked talent or originality. They only gave me seconds to sing, so they probably skip through thousands of videos. Shows like that don’t make stars, they make media puppets. They tell them how to act, what to wear, what kind of music to make. Save your hopes and dreams, try becoming famous the traditional way. Start performing small shows live and building a fan base, then you’ll attract producers.
