I was married in Iowa and filed for divorce in Iowa in December . I moved to Nebraska in January of . The divorce was finalized on May th . Nebraska has a month waiting period to remarry after a divorce and Iowa does not have a waiting period. I want to remarry in Nebraska. Do I go by Iowa laws because the divorce was in Iowa? or do I go by Nebraska laws because I live Nebraska?

here’s my question John, you got married in Iowa and if you moved to Nebraska and got a divorce, are you and your wife still considered brother and sister???

If you marry in Nebraska you abide by Nebraska laws…if you don’t want to wait, marry in Iowa.

You have to go by Nebraska law because that is the state you reside in.

Just wait the months HOTPANTS !!!

Geezzz . . . . Ya just got divorced . . . Let me rebuild my savings account before I have to buy you another round of beers.

Go fishing in the mean time.

You need to wait months case closed !!!

*scratching head*

Given you live in NB now you would need to wait the months
