If it fits easily in the drop box, you are fine. Don’t believe the other answer.
You can if it will fit. However, if it has a tracking barcode, don’t expect it to show up in the system right away. If you hand it to a clerk at the PO or a carrier on the street, the acceptance scan should be done at that time. If you drop it in a box, the collector may or may not do the acceptance scan, and if not, then it may or may not be done at the processing plant. Dropping parcels that need acceptance scans into collection boxes is one way these scans don’t get done.
You need to hand it to a postal worker at the PO so it can be scanned.
