the unpaid medical bills will go into collections and voila….you now have a bad credit history.
You will find it harder to build credit. It will stay on your record for seven years. Some employers run credit checks before you can get a job. Lots of issues from just ignoring a medical bill. Call the drs. office and make a plan.
You will go from having no credit history to bad credit history. It will adversely impact credit applications for credit cards or loans. Also, the abiltiy to rent, increase required deposits for utilities, cell phones, etc. Employers often check credit reports. It will even impact your car insurance rates.
