If the Knicks lose this series will Carmelo demand a trade?

He’s almost in exactly the same situation he was in with Denver. Where he’s the only star on the team and they rely on him to win games. I think don’t think Melo will be with the Knicks for much longer unless they acquire another star.

  • I don’t know but I really can’t imagine him demanding a trade. I mean this is probably the best roster the Knicks can Surround Carmelo with. New York is also the only place where Carmelo can chuck as much as he wants and still get praised for it. But imagine Carmelo on the Sixers or Hawks, I wonder how that would work out.

Source(s): I don’t think they have the cap space for another star anyways.

  • In fairness to the Knicks they acquired Amare thinking he could be their second star and he has just sucked which no one really expected. Plus New York is much more limelight and has more influence than Denver does I think they’ll be able to convince talent to come and join them this offseason.

Now if we have this same discussion a year from now, THEN yes I do think Melo would want to be traded, but not yet.

  • I think Carmelo will leave unless Knicks can get CP3 like they are supposed to next year.

  • I don’t think so! He will just be dissapointed. I think they will pick up another star this year during the off-season. But I could be wrong. Melo is a little bit of a baby so it wouldn’t suprise me if he left.
