  • Yes, eventually, in a long time, you’re hair will continue to grow out and you could probably see the part of the hair where it got dyed and the other natural part where it just grew. But it should fade soon back to your original color.

  • If you used permanent hair color, not until it grows out. If you used semi-permanent color it should fade in – weeks but will do it faster if you wash it every other day. The box of what you used will state which type it is. You can also try coloring it the original color but this is best done by a professional. Good Luck!

  • It is possible but normally takes a lot of effort, the darker you go, the harder it is to get back – for example, if you dye your hair dark brown from blonde, to get it back, you’ll have to have the colour stripped and your hair will go quite ginger. You’ll then probably have to have a few sessions where your hair is lightened a tone or two each time and then try to get it dyed back to the colour you want, also, a lot of toner will be involved to keep out the brassy tones or it will really want to go ginger again >_< that said, by sister dyed her hair black and has now managed to get it back to it’s original light blonde without much fuss so it’s definitely possible! Hope this helps ^_^

  • It depends on what you did.

If it’s semipermanent and a light color, it will fade away. If you used permanent dyes, bleached or used black ink, then it will take a while until your hair grows out.

I dyed my hair before. Bleaching ruins it, black dye never really washed out, and only semi in colors like red will wash out, but even that takes a few showers.

  • Yes its completely possible, I’ve done it. It doesn’t matter how dark your hair is. I’m naturally dirty blonde and dyed my hair black. I went to a professional salon and they got it back to a light light brown in one session, and the next session back to my natural color. I always use semi- permanent dye. So if you are planning on dying your hair, go with semi-permanent. I don’t see any difference between semi-permanent and permanent except that its easier to get it back to a lighter color faster. 🙂
