Interesting volunteer work?

I have to do some volunteer work for Duke of Ed, but the only volunteering opportunities my school offers is helping out at the junior school, which I am not at all interested in doing. I’d like to do something where I get to meet people of different backgrounds and situations so that I can actually learn something from volunteer work, so I’m not too keen on working at an animal shelter or cleaning parks or whatever. I was thinking of volunteering at hospitals or homeless shelters, but I can’t seem to find any information about how/where I can do that.

Other info:

I am 15

I would definitely prefer to work on sundays or saturdays

I have no special skills or experience….
