Is 9 degrees celcuis hot?

Hi so my sister decided to move to churchhill Manitoba (we are original from California) so anyways I came up to visit her for a week. When I was there it reached 9 degrees celcuis and they were in summer clothes (like all the people who live there) and me and my mom was like bundled up! Is that hit weather for Churchill? Lol

  • 9° C is 46.4° F – not exactly warm to those of us in the lower, lower 48 (I’m in NC). That temperature however, as shown by the Churchill average temperature graph in the link below, is just slightly cooler than the average low temp on their warmest day of the year, July 27! The average HIGH from Jun 9 to Sep 14 in Churchill varies from 50 to 64° F.

  • I’m from Manitoba!!! LOL well it is nice weather for Manitoba…because it gets SO cold in the winter. And plus, you’re used to the california hot sun weather.

But why did your sister move to Manitoba??? Why would she leave the sunny California!? o_O

  • It’s actually equal to 48 degrees F. To me, that’s still a bit chilly.
    NOTE:
    I don’t know why others are saying that 9 degrees C is 40 -45 degrees F or 46.4 degrees or whatever. It’s 48.2 degrees. F = 9/5(C) + 32
    [(9)(9)/5} + 32

  • 9 degrees celcuis is like 40-45 degrees Ferihiet so i honestly find that cold
