Is Industrial Engineering a good career to pursue?

I am an incoming freshman this year. I passed Industrial Engineering, which is my second option. I always dreamed of becoming a Civil Engineer. But, my parents said that there are way too many Civil Engineers around the globe which can make it difficult for me to find a job. I do not dislike Industrial Engineering. In fact, I am starting to like it. I just need some advice on whether I will continue to pursue my Industrial Engineering or I will shift to Civil Engineering.
