Is it ok to eat raw rice?

I had curry at a restaurant and you could hear the rice crunch and pick it up in clumps. I ate most of it because I was hungry and felt guilty not eating it as my friends family were paying for it. Is raw rice ok to eat?

  • No it isn’t ok to eat raw rice if that was what it was. You should have either sent it back, as it could have been uncooked or over fried.

  • Yes, it;s fine. It will expand in your stomach, so don’t eat a lot. A restaurant portion isn’t enough to cause harm. Reason why it is not good to throw rice at weddings.
