Is it okay to get a player jersey for a team you aren't a fan of?

I’m a diehard Bengals fan. But i’d like to get an Adrian Peterson jersey at some point in the near future, even though I’m not a Vikings fan. Is there anything wrong with that? To be a fan of a player, but not the team?

  • As a fantasy football player for the last 10+ years I can tell you that I now look at football differently. I now follow players rather than teams and have at least 30 jerseys from players over the years in my closed from sweetness to Peterson. I break one out every Sunday during the season and many Monday nights also.

I know the fans of teams will take issue with this but I really don’t give a hoot what they think or do.

  • Given how expensive those jerseys are, save your money for players on your team, I’m a Colts fan & the only NFL jerseys I have are Marshall Faulk & Peyton Manning Colts jerseys as well aas Andrew Luck

  • Make a Bengals AP jersey so you dont have to explain to every one I’m not a Vikings fan.

I’m not a fan of the lions but ill wear a Calvin Johnson jersey

  • You are allowed to get a jersey of someone that is isn’t on your favorite team as long as the player is from the Packers.

  • Maybe get a shirt instead and not a jersey.

i also like AP but im not a vikings van.

i would get a regular t shirt of him instead of a jersey.

  • Nothing wrong with being a fan of a player that’s not apart of your team. Go for it.

  • Sure Im a huge fan of NewEngland Patroits and i enjoy other athletes on other teams.

  • Of course. I have a Rob Griff jersey.

  • No. That would be illegal. What do you think? When you buy a jersey they don’t ask you who your favorite team is.
