  • Many adults forget the information learned in higher math classes because it is not used everyday. Many adults need to take remedial math classes in college even if they took higher math classes in high school.
  • No not really. 8th grade seems higher than a lot of adults I know.

Studying for a degree in maths. My neighbour once asked me to help her daughter with her maths homework. I went round to her house and she said ‘I’ve tried, she’s tried, her nan’s tried, we’ve all tried and we just can’t do it!’ What was it? Adding fractions. *facepalm*

  • I would say yes, but seeing some of the people in today’s society, I honestly wouldn’t be too surprised. If you are not working in the STEM industry or a high-paying non artsy job, then you probably don’t need derivatives and trig.

As long as you don’t need it and don’t practice it, you will forget it.

  • I am in high school right now. And those exit exams are based are on an eighth grade level of what I heard. If thats true, then I’m assuming that they expect an average human to have that high of intelligence. So I would go with no, but don’t count on it.
