Is nursing really that bad?

I’m not really sure what to do after high school and nursing is something I have tried to consider. I don’t think I would mind doing the job, the schooling just gets me because I’m not a science person and I know it deals a lot with that. I am also iffy on the whole 12 hour shifts and all that but can someone kind of explain the job to me…is it really that difficult? (Thinking of LPN btw) And is the schooling that difficult?

  • if you have cable, watch trama in the e.r. it has weird things to see. someday you may see them where you work.

  • I want to be a Neonatal Nurse which strictly works with newborns…mostly sick newborns. I do a lot of research on nursing, so I can give you some info. Nurses usually work 8-12 hours a day and like 5 days a week. My best friend is just a nurse starting out, and she works 12 hours tomorrow, and 16 hours the next day. The children’s hospital I want to work for someday, currently has an opening for what I want to do, and that’s a 60 hour a week job. The pay for nursing is worth it though. The low end is around $60,0 and the high end is around $150,0. Take a look at this list. It’s a list of the top 10 highest paid nurse positions, and it has descriptions of each one. http://scrubsmag.com/top-ten-highest-paying-nursin…
