Is this a good computer/deal? $3000 budget?

My parents have offered to buy me a $30 (aprox.) computer for graduation. Right now I’m looking at this one: http://gamingpc.ca/best-desktops/destroy…

Is this a good deal? Can I find better deals? I’m living in Canada and looking for a gaming desktop.

I can’t build my own for a variety of reasons.

You can save over a grand if you do this yourself. Its a beast. But not worth 3k.

It is a competent machine, but $30 is way too much for it. I’d price it at no more than $15. I highly suggest you build your own, but as you said, you can’t for some reason (it is really easy and you will get a much better performing machine), so I suggest you buy the parts to one and pay someone to build it for you. Reddit.com/r/buildapc can help you with the parts.

If you still want prebuilt, all three of the following are much better:

You could save money by building it yourself, but apart from that, it’s a good system.

Yes but don’t just use it just for gaming cuz it will be an overkill if it has an SSD it will run faster but yeah if your just going to use it for gaming I’d suggest you to get custom built

    Hey Ryan!

So I looked around on the web and found some cool PC specs. Now are you using this for gaming or conventional pc use? I assume by the budget, a gaming computer.
The best thing that you can though is actually build your own ONLINE! Now, when you specified “build your own” did you mean, by manually buying pieces and putting the together or online. If online, I definetly reccomend staying with AMD based software, to get more for less. AMD processors for example, I am going to get an AMD FX 8350 @ 4gHz for $2 new. Now, and Intel costs probably $5-6 for a cpu at that clock speed new. Now many say they are better quality, but unless your pushing your PC to the extreme, it’s pointless. So stick with an AMD motherboard/cpu. If you would like this PC to be based on “low profile gaming”, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator X, I definetly purchasing two GT 520’s, renamed GT 640 ( new egg.com price NEW is 29.99 each) so, when choosing your PC parts online (you can select what you want to get), chose, for gpu1 and gpu2, a GT 520 (Direct X 11/HDMI). If you are going to be playing modern, “high profile games”, with you budget I suggest looking into the GTX 680 or 690, but get TWO! Now, we need RAM. Get 4 sticks of DDR3 RAM, preferably 4G each. You need something that has an extremely fast transfer rate. I would google that, maybe even ask Tom’s Hardwareon RAM. I also know that there are articles rating the best 2013 RAM. But! Don’t go for the best, with a high budget. I understand you want the best, but that is overkill. You might pay $2 more for nothing. You can also tweak RAM in advanced options under System. Speaking of that, get Windows 7 as your OS. I have noticed very little difference between Home Premium and Ultimate, but I suggest getting Windows 7 Pro x86. Next, your processor, the fastest and best AMD is the 8 core FX 8350. Get it! That is the best thing you can get. If you plane on overclocking, get a water cooler for it. If not, make sure you cpu comes with a fan, so purchase fan with cpu on that pc design website. Hard Drive, I suggest gettng a 1 terrabyte SATA drive, as well as a 5G backup/ gaming drive @ atleast 15,0 RPM. CD, bluray? What so you want to watch? Get a good player. Finally, get a motherboard that fits all these things, including 2 pcie slots, 4 sata slots, 4 ram slots, AMD FIT!!!!, and usb 3. Finally, dont cheap out on this. Get a 9W corsair power supply that has a good rating, look on jonnyguru.com for that. I wish you luck!!!

So go online and fid that right site, and make sure you only get a LARGE ATX CASE!!!

That is a huge ripoff for 3k. I could build a pc way faster and better overall for that cost.
