I really love the poem ‘Run Free’ from the movie slam and I would like to sing it along with playing my guitar. However, I’m not sure if that would be against copyright or something, if i sung the same lyrics of the poem and made up music to it then put it on YouTube. Is that illegal? Obviously I would say that it is not my own lyrics and I would say where they are originally from. Would it just count as a cover or would I get into trouble?
