  • Based on your height and weight, I believe that the best fit for you is at defensive end. You have the ideal size for a high school defensive end.

My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this (and every) summer is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your chances of becoming a successful, top notch defensive end in football.

  • In American football, a lineman is a player who specializes in play at the line of scrimmage. The linemen of the team currently in possession of the ball are the offensive line, while linemen on the opposing team are the defensive line.

A linebacker (LB) is a position in American football that was invented by football coach Fielding H. Yost of the University of Michigan.[2] Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up approximately three to five yards (4 m) behind the line of scrimmage, behind the defensive linemen. Linebackers generally align themselves before the ball is snapped by standing upright in a “two point stance” (as opposed to the defensive linemen, who put one or two hands on the ground for a “three point stance” or “four point stance” before the ball is snapped). The goal of the linebacker is to provide either extra run protection or extra pass protection based on the particular defensive play being run.
