Moore explains the urgency for climate awareness and approaching the growing issues. She explains that in our “enlightenment age” or “Era of man”, as Crutzen puts it, we separate ourselves as humans from the rest of nature, dispose of unity among all life and heading ourselves towards destruction of nature and ultimately destruction of man. She explains the emergence of disease, disaster, death, war and drought, much do to with climate change. With the change mankind has brought, that was intended for human benefit, has destroyed our relatives and our own in the process, resulting in exponential extinction rates and unnatural, destructive weather patterns that affect the entire biosphere. Moore believes that various activist groups such as ecofeminists should come forward, together to face this problem collectively.
