will it be okay if I do an assignment for English about the greek mythology gods, like zeus or cronos? i just find them interesting and like stories..but since some say they are gods, will it be shirk?

  • No it will NOT be shirk since you don’t believe in other Gods if you do then its shirk

    you are just learning and doing your hw so its fine as long as you don’t believe in this stuff then its not shirk , you can read about other mythological aka fake Gods but cant believe there are other Gods

  • it is a sensitive issue.you should ask more then 1 Islamic scholar to know the right answer.otherwise maybe you will commit shirk without knowing it.
    can’t you find another topic for an assignment till you get your answers from the Islamic scholars?
    because maybe it is like promoting other gods……

  • Salam No it would not be regarded as shirk if you just to do an assignment for English about the Greek mythology because you do not believe it although you like its stories and you do not worship their gods
